Overview, System Requirements
Any Windows PC or notebook with at least 1 GB RAM, 5 GB free hard disk space and a screen resolution of 1024 x 800 or higher.
Each workstation as for a single-user, as above, but fitted with a network card and connected to a LAN switch (i.e. not a hub) with Cat 5 cable. The LAN switch should be connected to a server running a version of Microsoft’s Windows. Preferably this will be a “Server” version of Windows, such as Windows Server 2003 or later, run on a stand-alone basis, though small networks can run peer-to-peer without a dedicated server.
Each workstation is likely to require around 50Mb for its Durell programs. The server is likely to require from 50Mb to 5Gb for data storage. If not dedicated, the server may double-up as a workstation and require capacity for that too.
