Groups, Linked Policies

The point of linking is so that afterwards you can easily locate the associated policy. From a technical point of view, linking policies is similar to grouping them, though a link can only exist between two policies, for example…

  • A Motor policy linked to a Legal Expense one
  • A Mortgage linked to an Endowment
  • A Bond linked to an Annuity
  • Creating The Link

To link two policies together, starting from the Main Menu…

  • Click the “Policies” button
  • Click on and thereby highlight one of the policies to be linked (e.g. by scrolling to it, or using the “Binoculars” button to find it)
  • Click the “Signpost” button
  • Click “Link policies / Link current policy to another”
  • Read then click “OK” on the “Link To Policy” dialogue
  • Click on and thereby highlight the other policy to be linked (e.g. by scrolling to it, or using the “Binoculars” button to find it)
  • Displaying Linked Policies

Thereafter, any time you’re working on a policy and need to quickly find one linked to it, starting from the Main Menu…

  • Click the “Policies” button
  • Click on and thereby highlight one of the linked policies (e.g. by scrolling to it, or using the “Binoculars” button to find it)
  • Click the “Signpost” button
  • Click “Link policies / Display policies linked to this”
